The Hauge conference 2008


There were 120 participants at the second Hauge conference in Oslo, Norway on November 24, 2008. A large number of young people also took part in the conference which covered a wide variety of timely topics.

The first speaker was journalist and author Dag Kullerud who spoke on "Hans  Nielsen Hauge - the most influental innovator in Norwegian history". Professor Magne  Supphellen (Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration) spoke on "Entrepeneurship, faith, and values in the slums of Nairobi". Professor Ola Grytten (Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration) presented how influential the Haugian traditions had been in the establishment of businesses in the Northwestern region of Norway, a region with a long tradition for clusters in e.g. furniture and fisheries.
